PROGRAMS OFFERED:

Bachelors in Optometry – (3+1 year)
Bachelors in Optometry (lateral entry for Diploma in Optometry holders) – (2+1 years)

COURSE: Bachelors in Optometry (B.Sc. Optometry)

DURATION : 4 years (3 years of study + 1 year of internship)

INTAKE : June through November

COURSE: Bachelors in Optometry (B.Sc. Optometry-lateral entry)
DURATION: 3 years (2 years of study + 1 year of internship)

ELIGIBILITY:

For B.Sc. Optometry – Applicant must have completed Intermediate studies (12thstandard or PUC) in science background to apply for all bachelors’ program.
For Diploma Holders in Optometry –Applicant must have completed diploma in optometry and can enter in the second year of optometry directly.
Applicant must have taken up English as a subject along with physics, chemistry, maths and/or biology as subjects.
Student should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st (on the month of applying) of the year of admission.

Filling application form —> Uploading merit documents –> Entrance exam and interview –> Selection of candidates –>Admission letter and fee payment

Students can also take admission through state entrance exam.

How to Apply

The application forms are available at the office of Course Coordinator, S Salins College of Optometry, Velemegna Society, Golekhana, Bidar – 585401, Karnataka by payment of Rs. 300/- in cash or Rs.350/- by post, DD should be in the name of “S Salins College of Optometry,” Bidar. The filled up application for the course along with necessary enclosures shall be forwarded to the office.

The application should be hand written and duly filled in block letters by the applicant. Listed document should be attached with the application.

Attested copy of SSLC mark list.
Attested copy of Plus Two or equivalent mark list.
Attested copy of Birth Certificate.
Character Certificate from the previous institution.
Two Passport size colour photos.
A self addressed envelope with Rs. 5/- stamp affixed.
Original Certificates should be produced only by the time of admission.

The application form duly filled up and signed, together with the enclosures should be forwarded to The Director.
